The Day of Atonement

The tenth day of the seventh month, when the souls of Israel are afflicted before the LORD.

Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls.Leviticus 23:27

Atonement is the most solemn of the appointed times. It is a holy convocation, and the affliction of the soul is commanded rather than offered.

The ministry acknowledges on this day the personal discipline and sacrifice of our brother Jesus, the son of David, a descendant of the tribe of Judah, the son of Jacob, the son of Isaac, the son of Abraham.
